At the very core of the Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) mission is the commitment to preparing students for the future. In June, the school division will join high school seniors and their families from 11 high schools, Green Run Collegiate and Renaissance Academy, in celebrating their 13 years of hard work and studies.

Time to Celebrate!

Graduation Day is the time to celebrate everyone's hard work and support and VBCPS teachers, principals and community want to help all students achieve this milestone.

Most high school graduation ceremonies will occur at the Veterans United Home Loan Amphitheater. Check the graduation schedule on the left to find out when and where the graduates from each school will be turning their tassels.

You can take part in the fun by following the hashtag #VBCPSGrad on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram – you can post your own photos to the hashtag as well.

Additionally, check our YouTube, Facebook and Twitter accounts- @VBSchools - for live stream links, which will be posted before each ceremony.

Tips and Information for Families

  • Plan ahead. Students must be in place at least one hour before the ceremony starts. Allow significant time for traffic and parking.
  • Practice patience and watch for pedestrians. Thousands of students and patrons of other events will be on sidewalks and crosswalks. Pedestrians should observe crossing signals to stay safe.
  • Because safety is always uppermost in our minds, precautionary measures will be in place at the Veterans United Home Loan Amphitheater to ensure the ceremony is as safe and free from disruption as possible.
